Last month, I took a short city break to Rome.

I had always wanted to visit Italy, so I was very excited.

I booked my flight and hotel online.

When I arrived, the weather was sunny and warm.

On the first day, I visited the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

While I was sightseeing, I took lots of photos and bought a guidebook.

The guidebook had useful maps and historical facts.

In the evenings, I ate delicious pasta and pizza at local restaurants.

One night, I got lost on my way back to the hotel.

Luckily, a friendly local helped me find the right street.

I was staying in a small but comfortable hotel near the city center.

The room had a great view of a nearby square.

During my trip, I also visited a few museums and a beautiful cathedral.

It was a perfect weekend getaway, and I hope to return one day.
