"Could you...?" is used for polite requests, asking someone to do something for you.

Example 1: Could you help me with my homework, please? (asking for help)

Example 2: Could you pass the salt? (asking for something to be handed over)

"Would you like...?" is used for making offers or invitations, asking if someone would like something.

Example 1: Would you like some tea? (offering a drink)

Example 2: Would you like to go to the cinema with me? (inviting someone)
