Prepositions of place are used to show the location of something. The most common prepositions of place are in, on, and at. Here are the basic rules:
In:
Used for enclosed spaces (e.g., a room, a building, a country, a box).
Example: The book is in the box.
Example: I live in Italy.
On:
Used for surfaces or objects that are on top of something.
Example: The cup is on the table.
Example: The picture is on the wall.
At:
Used for specific points or locations (e.g., places, addresses, events).
Example: I am at the bus stop.
Example: She is at school.
Examples:
The keys are in the drawer.
The book is on the shelf.
We are meeting at the restaurant.
