Grammar A1 - Plurals and Quantifiers

Plurals: In English, we usually add -s to make nouns plural. However, there are some exceptions (e.g., changing the ending to -es for nouns ending in -s, -x, -ch, etc.).

Regular plural form:

Cat → Cats

Book → Books

Irregular plural form:

Man → Men

Woman → Women

Child → Children

Tooth → Teeth

Quantifiers: Quantifiers are words that indicate the quantity of a noun. They are often used with countable and uncountable nouns.

Countable nouns (things you can count):

Many, few, a few, some, several

Example: I have many books.

Uncountable nouns (things you cannot count):
